About

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs with 5 siblings, 4 brothers and 1 sister spread out over 20 years. Growing up, I was very active in competitive sports; soccer, volleyball, track, tennis, baseball, softball and basketball. If I wasn’t competing in sports, I was competing with my older brother. Being good wasn’t good enough, I strive for better than that. If I am going to do something, I am going to try and be the best and keep improving.

Growing up, I always knew I was going to be a doctor, specifically a pediatrician. I wanted to work with children. A personal experience with chiropractic following an athletic injury guided me to fulfillment of my dream. I was going to be a Chiropractor. Chiropractic care was able to help me when the medical community couldn't provide me with any answers or aid. That was what I wanted to do (unlike my MD older brother!).

After graduating from Butler University with degrees in Biology and Chemistry, I proceeded to the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL. There I was trained to identify and correct abnormalities in the structure of the human body. These abnormalities further influence the nerves, muscles and movements of the body. Leaving such abnormalities untreated may result in a multitude of problems, including stiffness, headaches and pain, to name a few.

After my daughter was born on September 18, 2000 (coincidentally, the “birthday of Chiropractic back in 1895), I started an 8 month program to earn my Certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics. I have a passion for working with young athletes after an overuse injury led to “retirement” from sports at the age of 18. Don’t worry, Chiropractic care has helped me get back into the game. This passion led me to work as the team chiropractor for the Duncanville HS varsity football team. The coach spoke at the end of season how it was great to have his players in the game without the usually minor injuries and stingers.

I feel that every individual can benefit from chiropractic care. In children, chiropractic has been successful in prevention and alleviation of colic, ear infections, ADHD and scoliosis. Athletes are also discovering how chiropractic is able to increase their performance, decrease their susceptibility to injuries and aid in a quicker, more complete recovery. It also boosts the immune system, provides pain relief, and individuals report feeling rejuvenated following their adjustments.

I have seen chiropractic benefit my patients, family and friends and have experienced it myself. I believe it has a wide range of applications to enhance the health of every individual. So, if you are in pain, desire to enhance your athletic performance or simply want to optimize your health and that of your family, I would like to assist you in achieving your goals.

When not saving lives, I enjoy playing and watching sports, hand milking my cows, hanging out with my chickens and dogs and spending time in nature with my husband, Keith and daughter, Kaela.
